B.C KO T

Early, indet., regular leaf, red elongated fat plum-shaped fruit, slightly larger than 1 oz, does not crack despite heavy rains we had in the summer of 2008. All the plants looked the same and produced the same type of fruit, which was consistent with what Clayton Weaver observed in his garden, hence I have to conclude that this seed line is likely stable. Fruit taste is mild, and non-assertive.

Seed source:

Clayton Weaver, WA (F2 seeds)

Year grown: 2006, 2008

Location: Zone 7b, PNW, Anmore, BC, Canada (760 ft above sea level)

History

  • An accidental cross of Odessa with unknown indeterminate variety, likely originated from Seeds Trust that was selling crossed seeds.
  • Clayton Weaver, who 'discovered' this variety when growing Odessa seeds purchased from Seed Trust, named it Faux Arkadia, and shared the seeds with Tatiana Kouchnareva, BC, Canada (B.C KO T) in the spring 2008.
