History
- This tomato variety was given to Valery Popenko of Semei, Kazakhstan by one of his customers, who told him that this tomato originally came from Switzerland. Unfortunately the original name of this variety was lost, but the customer said it was called "Этуаль" ('Etoile').
- Valery Popenko owns a small seed business and sells seeds in Russia and Kazakhstan, and he has been actively exchanging seeds with many owners of small seed shops in Canada and the USA. This is how the seed of this variety came to North America in the early 2010s.
