  • Originally from Russia, a.k.a. Izumrudnoe Yabloko. Unfortunately the name was translated into English and this is how it was listed by several north american seed vendors and SSE members.
  • First introduced in Seed Savers 2008 Yearbook by Bill Minkey of Darien, Wisconsin (WI MI B), and Neil Lockhart of Oblong, Illinoiss (IL LO N). Both Bill and Neil obtained the seed from Norwood Meiners, Manderville, LA in 2006.

Same as

Original Russian name: Изумрудное Яблоко (='Izumrudnoe Yabloko'), which means "Emerald Apple" in Russian.
