History

  • Unknown.
  • Some sources indicate that the original seed was supposedly found in a 4000 year old tomb, which is an untrue story. There is no scientific evidence that shows that tomatoes existed back then, not mentioning that it is highly unlikely that tomato seeds could be preserved for so long and remain viable.
