- Pods are 6-8" long by 1-1.5" at the stem end, with pointy end. Mildly hot. Immature pods are glossy and dark green in color, turning waxy bright red at full maturity. Surprisingly thick (up to 5mm) walls for a spicy pepper! Pretty early and performs very well in cooler climates. Excellent flavor, fresh or dried for spicy paprika.
