Crop failure (due to the soil, I believe). I got a plant (not a big one), but no fruit. Regular leaf foliage. However, one very remarkable thing about this plant was that the leaves smelled awesome (kind of like citrus). The Tangerine tomato variety smelled similar, but not as strong (I had a similar crop failure with it; I grew them right next to each other).

  • An improved Caro Red, developed by E.C. Tigchelaar and M.L. Tomes at Purdue University and released in 1973.
  • Reportedly has 5-10 times more beta-carotene than other tomatoes, but less lycopene.
