- I agree with Neil's description above except I find the fruit to be generally bland (grown multiple times). Striping intensity varies, sometimes all yellow with little red showing. It was very susceptible to early blight, late blight, septoria and fusarium in NC. In Western Missouri plants became heavily diseased after fruit set (septoria and early blight). Fruits also tend to radial crack after heavy rainfall. Size and color does attract interest in markets. Fruit has best flavor in dry seasons.

History
- Originated in the USA.
- This is a popular variety sold in early 90's at Farmer's Markets in the Western and mountainous parts of North Carolina. Kieth Mueller collected seeds from fruits brought there in 1994 and disseminated through rec.gardens (mid to late 90's) and contributed a large amount to the seed collection of the yahoo group Tomatomania (starting around ~2001). One grower stated it was from Tennessee but others said that it had been around the area "forever".
