History
- Developed by Alan Chadwick, the noted English gardener, who was in residence at Bountiful Gardens in California, where he was teaching classes about organic gardening and developed this cultivar. It was grown at Camp Joy, the organic farm maintained by Bountiful gardens, hence the variety name.
