History

  • Camone tomatoes are grown in the salty soils of Sardinia and Sicily, where it reportedly develops a unique sweet and salty flavor. Fruit is sold in Europe for 16 EU/kg.
  • Seed saved from fruits purchased in Europe by Ted Buila of Silverdale, Washington in 2008.
