indet., regular leaf plants that are relatively compact, 4-5' tall and sprawling, medium to high yield of medium sized flattened and slightly ribbed beefsteaks of beautiful black/purple color, excellent taste and very nice texture, good balance of 'meat' and juice, 7-11 oz. The fruits have less 'green shoulders' than Cherokee Purple. The first fruit ripened just a week later than the first Cherokee Purple in my 2009 garden, but the plants produced more ripe fruit early in the season than any other black variety I grew in the same year.
