Det., compact plants with regular leaf foliage grow up to 2' tall. Very high yield for such compact plants. Early maturity. Fruits are small round and blemish free, mature to from green to yellow and then to bright amber color, hence the name. 1-2 oz. Meaty flesh and very nice, refreshing flavor with some acidic bite. (20 seeds / packet)

  • According to the SSE member Peter Spierenburg from the Netherlands (NETH SP P), this is a Russian heirloom from an Ukrainian family living near River Don.
  • SSE received the seed from Marina Danilenko, Russia (RUSS DA M) in the early 1990s, and re-offered this variety in the Seed Savers 1995 Yearbook.
  • SSE TOMATO 2918.

  • "Томат Янтарный. Скороспелый (95-100дней) сорт для открытого грунта и пленочных укрытий. Подходит для выращивания безрассадным способом в зонах неустойчивого земледелия. Растение компактное, штамбовое, высотой 30-40 см. Не требует пасынкования. Плоды округлые, ярко-желтые, массой 50-70 до 90 г, плотные, с повышенным содержанием сахаров, каротина и витаминов. Ценность сорта: устойчивость к комплексу болезней, холодостойкость, неприхотливость выращивания, сочетание раннеспелости и отличных вкусовых качеств. Назначение универсальное."
