- indet., regular leaf, exserted stigmas, it was hand-pollinated to avoid crossing, medium-large golden beefsteaks, very good flavor, medium to low yield.

History
- The name indicates that it may be a heirloom from West Virginia, but there is no evidence to prove this.
- This variety was first listed at SSE by Jim and Cyndde DeWeese of Butler, Ohio (OH DE J) in 1985, or maybe even earlier (I do not have earlier Yearbooks to check), and then re-listed by other SSE members ever since. No original source information was given. Jim stopped listing it in 1999. Neil Lockhart has been the only member who listed this variety since 2000.
- Jim DeWeese's description of this variety said "75 days - extended season, large firm sweet flavorful, keeps well", but all the other listers describe it as a late-season tomato.
