indet., potato leaf, slightly droopy/wispy foliage, good yield of 12-20 oz. Very large pink beefsteaks, very good to excellent flavor. Wispiness is not fully expressed because the potato leaf gene somewhat masks its expression.

Seed source:

Susan Anderson of Elgin, Texas (TX AN S) 11

Year grown: 2019

Location: Zone 7b, PNW, Anmore, BC, Canada (760 ft above sea level)

History

  • Selected for and stabilized by Darrel Jones. It was likely an accidental cross of Large Pink Bulgarian with some unknown heart which initially produced a mix of seedlings that were both potato leaf and regular leaf and various heart shapes.
