Nero Di Toscana
Also known as Black Palm + , Lacinato + , Dinosaur +
Description Very dark blue green blistered/crumply leaves, 2-4" inches wide and 10-18" long. Extremely winter hardy! Both tasty and very ornamental. Usually the bottom leaves are harvested first, and this makes the plant look like a palm tree.
History * ''Brassica oleracea''. This very old heirloom kale variety dates to the 18th century, and it came from Italy. Popular in Tuscany and central Italy where it is used in soups and stews.
