Purple Passion, Regular Leaf

2 out of 4 seedlings grown from OH AN A seeds are potato leaf, and 2 are regular leaf. All seedlings from David Lemasters seed are regular leaf.

History

This is a regular leaf variant of Purple Passion tomato.
Original seeds from Todd Coleman of Sandusky, Ohio, who stabilized it over 4 years and shared it with Al Anderson of Troy, Ohio (OH AN A). Al described it as a regular leaf variety.
First introduced in Seed Savers 2007 Yearbook by Neil Lockhart of Oblong, Illinois (IL LO N) , who received the seed from Al Anderson of Troy, Ohio. Neil listed it as potato leaf, and it is not clear if this variety is still unstable, or a seed mix-up happened in the seed exchanges, or Al Anderson made a mistake when describing it as regular leaf.
Tatiana's note: I grew this variety from the seed obtained from Al Anderson in 2007, and got 50% split between regular leaf potato leaf seedlings. Therefore I am going to make the same assumption that Neil Lockhart likely made when he saw both the potato leaf and the regular leaf plants, that this variety is a potato leaf variety which was not entirely stable when Al Anderson shared the seeds around.
