Mid-season, indet., regular leaf, large red fruits of variable blunt heart shapes, 12-20 oz, some double hearts. Excellent flavor which is more sweet than tart, meaty interior, few seeds. One of my favorites in 2009.

Seed source:

Mireille Blais, Quebec, Canada 06 (crossed Justine seeds) / Solana Seeds

Year grown: 2008 (crop failure), 2009

Location: Zone 7b, PNW, Anmore, BC, Canada (760 ft above sea level)

History

  • Discovered in 2009 a patch of Justine tomatoes grown by Tatiana Kouchnareva (B.C KO T) from Mireiile Blais' seed sent to Tatiana in 2006. Justine is a large red plum or bomb-shaped tomato, and this one was definitely not! Although it may not be stable, it is an excellent tomato to grow and stabilize if necessary.
  • It may be a cross of Justine tomato with an unknown heart-shaped variety.
