History
- A family heirloom. It was developed by Hoy Taylor (1891-1973) in Roane County, West Virginia.
- Seeds were given to J. Coy of Ohio at a farmers market by a woman, who was a great niece of Hoy Taylor, the originator of this variety. The woman gave him an index card along with the seeds, with the following information:
- "Hoy - this is a century+ heirloom tomato. It was developed by Hoy Taylor in Roane County, West Virginia. Large, meaty pink to red tomato - some 2-3 lbs."
