Location: Bastrop, Texas
History
- Developed from crossed Blue Ridge Mountain seeds by Millard Murdock, NC (NC MU M). Millard received the seeds from Chuck Wyatt somewhere around the year 2000. This is what Millard said about it:
- "The F1 was a very small red tomato that was hollow inside, like a stuffing tomato. The F2 tomato that I selected was a larger red tomato and not hollow but was nothing special. Weeping Tom appeared in the F3 generation and has not changed since. I only kept one other tomato from this cross, Crybaby, which is also pink and bell shaped, but it is RL and the fruit is not sweet and is more prolific than Weeping Tom. There were some beefsteak tomatoes in this cross that I kept going for a while, but they were just average and when I got better pink tomatoes from later crosses, I discontinued them."
