* Seeds were collected in 2013 from the Ba … * Seeds were collected in 2013 from the Ballaro' Market in Palermo, Sicily, by Simone Lovano of Pasadena, California, who bought the fruits that were sold as "Di Corleone" (of Corleone) or "Nostrana" ("our" local kind). Fruit is similar to [[Rosso Sicilian]] but a little larger, rounder, and not as hollow inside. In 2014, Simone planted this tomato side-by-side with [[Rosso Sicilian]] and also noted a difference in plant habit. Corleonese has a very compact determinate plant whereas Rosso Sicilian is an upright indeterminate.
