Fruit is similar to [[Rosso Sicilian]] but a little larger, rounder, and not as hollow inside. In 2014, Simone planted this tomato side-by-side with [[Rosso Sicilian]] and also noted a difference in plant habit. Corleonese has a very compact determinate plant whereas Rosso Sicilian is an upright indeterminate. * In Sicily, the Corleonese tomato is traditionally grown around the town of Corleone in Palermo province, usually using dry farming methods with limited or no irrigation and leaving the plants to grow on the ground without staking. nts to grow on the ground without staking.
