KY ST M

I was told that this tomato is a Kentucky heirloom, but I don't know for sure. It's a beautiful large yellow with red "stripes" on the skin and some pink tinges in the flesh. They weigh up to a pound or more, with a clean, sweet flavor. 90 days to maturity.

Seed source:

Georgia Emond, Glendale, Kentucky

Year grown: 2008

Location: Sonora, Kentucky

History

  • A family heirloom, seed saved by an elderly gardener in Glensdale, Kentucky.
  • First offered in the Seed Savers 2007 Yearbook by Neil Lockhart of Oblong, Illinois (IL LO N) and Al Anderson of Troy, Ohio (OH AN A).
