Long and moderately thin pods ripen from green to bright red. Up to 10" long. Sweet and complex flavor, delicious cooked and dried. It is considered to be one of the best frying peppers, and I would not disagree. Very high yields all season long.

* From Jimmy Nardello family of Naugatuck, Connecticut. Jimmy's parents, Giuseppe and Angela Nardiello, immigrated to America in 1997 from village of Ruoti in the Basilicata region of Southern Italy in 1887, and brought the seeds with them. The story says that their family had grown this pepper for over a century!
* Mr. Giuseppe Nardello passed away in 1983. The Nardello family had eleven children.

Long tapered fruit as much as 12 inches long. Sweet mild "no heat" pepper that seems to have been bred for roasting and frying. Probably the best tasting frying/roasting pepper available anywhere. Mid season, 80 days.
