* Anna Russian was sent to [[Craig LeHoullier]] in 1989 by Brenda Getty Hillenius of Corvallis, Oregon. She received the variety from her grandfather, Kenneth Wilcox. Kenneth received the seeds from a Russian immigrant in the 1980s, who was sent the variety by his family, who lived in Russia. Craig LeHoullier introduced it to the SSE Yearbook in 1989.
* First commercially introduced by [[Southern Exposure Seed Exchange]] in 1996.

A wonderful heirloom from Brenda Hillenius of Oregon who’s grandfather had obtained seeds from a Russian immigrant. The heart shaped fruit are pinkish-red and average about 1 lb. The flesh is sweet and juicy. Very high yields and also very early. Indeterminate, regular leaf foliage. (65 days from transplant).

93 days Gorgeous fruit, ox-heart shape with a pink/purple color. It tasted almost buttery to me. My vines were full of 10-16 oz. fruits.. The leaves were wispy and curled up early in the year. I mistakenly discarded one plant but the remaining plant provided me with plenty of tomatoes for such large fruit.
