They had sort of transparent skin (you could see the veins), and were prone to splitting. They ripened fast after fruit set. This was my most vigorous variety in 2016. The first few fruits didn't have much flavor, but the many others after that tasted pretty good. I got seeds from another source for a future year (I'm not growing them in 2017) to see if they're true to type, since it sounds like such a great variety. Nevertheless, I wasn't disappointed with the variety (I got more tomatoes from it than almost any other plant). Note that I saved seeds in 2016 and am growing them again in 2017; they're growing tomatoes, sofar unripe, that look like Zapotec (it may have crossed with Zapotec, Pink Stuffer or Yellow Ruffled in 2016—or, maybe the father of the original cross was something that looked like that; whatever the case, it's early for a ruffled type, and it's prolific).
