History

  • Developed by Belarusian Research Institute of Vegetable Gardening. Stabilized cross of Opolchenets x Planovyi 904.
  • Named after Viktor Talalikhin, a Hero of the Soviet Union, who was among the first to perform aerial ramming at night during the World War II (1941).
  • First offered in the Seed Savers 1996 Yearbook by Seed Savers Heritage Farm, Decorah, Iowa (IA SSE HF). SSE TOMATO 796.
  • United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), PI 262939. Donated to the USDA in 1960 by N.I. Vavilov Institute of Plant Industry.
  • Introduced commercially in North America by Double Helix Farms in 2013.

  • раннеспелый (103-112 дн.) сорт томата для открытого грунта, возможно выращивание в пленочных теплицах и в горшечной культуре. Сорт отличается дружной отдачей урожая, за первые 15 дн. плодоношения отдает от 30 до 50 % плодов. Растение детерминантного типа роста высотой 35-65 см. Первое соцветие закладывается над 7-8 листом, далее через 1-2. Плод плоскоокруглый, гладкий, массой 75-120 г удовлетворительного и хорошего вкуса. Не устойчив к фитофторозу и бактериальной пятнистости.
