  • Breeder: Dept. of Hort., Nebraska Agr. Experimental Station, University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Introduced in 1944. This is a heat tolerant variety.
  • Parentage: Stokesdale x Allred. Allred parentage is a uniform ripening line x Bison. Stokesdale is also the parent to the mutant "Stick".
  • PI 270210. Donated to USDA in 1960.
