History

  • An heirloom variety discovered by a seed collector Monsieur Bourgoin on the Ile d'Oleron, France.
  • First offered in the Seed Savers 1996 Yearbook by Carolyn Male of Salem, New York (NY MA C), who got the seeds from Ulrike Paradine of England (ENGL PA U) in 1995.
