- Beautiful deep dark red, almost purple frilly leaf batavian lettuce. One of the darkest lettuces with a very crisp and open headed leaves that have a pretty waxy shine and non-bitter taste. Said to be very high in antioxidants. Light grey seed. Bolting slower than other leaf varieties.

History
- Resistant to downy mildew races 1-16, good freeze tolerance.
