B.C KO T

Tall indet. plants with regular foliage, which look identical to its 'parent', Hunt Family Favorite, but produce high yields of small red, some slightly oval fruit with excellent acidic flavor, so it was very worth saving seed! I am not sure if this one is stable yet, and will regrew next year to check its stability.

Seed source:

Patty Brown, Ohio 10 / John Seewald, New Jersey - seed for Hunt Family Favorite

Year grown: 2010

Location: Zone 7b, PNW, Anmore, BC, Canada (760 ft above sea level)

History

  • An offtype of Hunt Family Favorite 'discovered' by Tatiana Kouchnareva (B.C KO T) in her 2010 growouts. The seed was received from Patty Brown of Ohio, who passed a few original seed from John Seewald of New Jersey. Plants grew identical to Hunt Family Favorite but produced high amounts of small round, some slightly oval, fruit with excellent acidic flavor. Tatiana saved seed and named it Hunt Family Salad.
