B.C KO T
- Midseason, indet., regular leaf plant with good yield of large red beefsteak type fruit, 9-25 oz, very good flavor. (15 seeds / packet)
Seed source:
- Carolyn Male of Salem, New York (NY MA C) 05
Year grown: 2006, 2015
Location: Zone 7b, PNW, Anmore, BC, Canada (760 ft above sea level)
History
- Bred by Joe Bratka's father. Joe found the seeds in glass jars in a tool shed on their/his property, could not germinate any of them and sent seeds to Carolyn Male (NY MA C), who succeeded in germinating the seed.
- Carolyn Male offered the seeds at Garden Web in 2005, giving non-SSE members access to this great variety, which deserves wider recognition.
- Tatiana's TOMATObase Seeds is the only seed vendor offering this variety at the present.
