- Beautiful and delicious soft slightly frilled large blue gray green leaves. Easy to grow, it can be direct seeded or transplanted in early spring or in August for overwintering in milder climates. Plants grow to 12-16" tall and 24" wide. Young leaves are great raw in salads, and older leaves can be used for smoothies or juice. Flavor sweetens dramatically after first frost.
