Mid-season. Det. or semi-det., bushy vigorous plants with heavy regular leaf cover, good yield of medium sized pink oblate fruits, with wonderful sweet flavor and solid meaty interior. Perfect for fresh eating or canning. Very pretty color, blemish free.

History

  • Breeder: Depts. of Horticulture and Plant Pathology. University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Dr. Joe McFerran. Released in 1961.
  • Dr. Joe named this tomato in honor of his Father, Bradley McFerran, but many people believe that it was named after Bradley county.
  • Parentage: Gulf State Market x Pinkshipper.
  • Resistance: fusarium wilt.
  • Heat tolerant.
  • First offered in the Seed Savers 1991 Yearbook by Faxon Stinnett, Vian, Oklahoma (OK ST F).
