History

  • First offered in the Seed Savers 2005 Yearbook by Luc Fichot, Belgium (BELG FI L), who received the seeds from a Ukrainian friend.
  • It is common for tomato varieties in the former USSR to be called 'American', 'Chinese', etc, and it may or may not reflect the true origin of the seeds.

The name means 'American Sweet' in Russian.
