History
- According to the SSE member Peter Spierenburg from the Netherlands (NETH SP P), this is a Russian heirloom from an Ukrainian family living near River Don.
- SSE received the seed from Marina Danilenko, Russia (RUSS DA M) in the early 1990s, and re-offered this variety in the Seed Savers 1995 Yearbook.
- (Tatiana's note) Given its English name, I have to assume that the original Russian name is not known.
